Prenatal Care

Prenatal visits are done at our birth center in Strasburg, VA. We welcome all families, big and small, and have a large playroom to help keep children entertained during our one hour prenatal visits.
Birth Center Birth

Linden Tree’s birth center is located in the quiet town of Strasburg, VA. Conveniently located off of I-81 with a short drive to Winchester Medical Center, we hope that our center feels like your “home away from home”. Tour our birth center here.
Home Birth

For families excited to welcome their baby in their own home, we serve a one hour radius from Strasburg, VA. Throughout your pregnancy we help you prepare for a home birth, and for families desiring a water birth, inflatable birth tubs are available and included in your care.
Postpartum & Newborn Care

Postpartum care for mother and baby focuses on all aspects of parenthood and supporting a newborn. We normally provide a 24-48 hour home visit, a 2 week visit, and a 6 week visit.

Cost for Services with Linden Tree Midwifery

The deposit for care with Linden Tree Midwifery is $6,000. This fee includes prenatal care, labor and birth services and postpartum care for both home and center birth families. $500 of the deposit is due at the first visit and the remaining amount is due by 36 weeks
The fee includes other services, including a childbirth education class. There are additional services not included in the deposit including labs, ultrasounds and a birth kit. However, we strive to keep these costs as low as possible by billing clients’ insurance and/or recommending the most affordable option for self-pay clients.
Families with health insurance have the option of billing for services through their insurance company. However, Linden Tree Midwifery is not in-network with insurance companies. We use SLB Billing Services to assist in your billing process to ensure the highest possible reimbursement for your care. However, a reimbursement is never guaranteed, so it is very important that families understand the financial commitment to pay the full fee out-of-pocket for their care.
We serve clients with Health Sharing Plans, such as Samaritan Ministries and Christian Healthcare Ministries. Depending on your plan, we can submit an estimated bill early in your care. In many cases, all of the costs associated with home and center birth are covered by these plans. We also accept HSA payments.
